Under a free labour movement policy, workers have the right to seek employment, accept job offers, reside in another member state for work, and remain there after employment, subject to certain conditions. It also prohibits discrimination based on nationality, meaning workers from other ASEAN nations must generally receive the same treatment as nationals in relation to employment, pay, working conditions, and access to public goods.
